headlamp "downgrade"
Can anybody tell me if they will just plug right in, or if there is difficult wiring involved?
My car is a 2002 w210 wagon with xenons
My plan is to switch to 65 watt halogens, then ebay the xenons. I know a lot of people like them--i'm just not one of them.
has the linkages for leveling telemetry whereas the halogens do not.
if you want autoleveling, you're going to have to perform some serious retrofitting.
otherwise, a fairly basic swap out of assemblies should do the trick, though,
you will have leftover linkages which go unused (same with electrical).
you had indicated (on Bworld) that you prefer yellowish light. have you tried to
shop around to see if you could locate an HID bulb with lower Kº, e.g. in the
3500-4000 range? I dont know if they exist but i know that with the D2S model
there are variations on a theme of bulbs with varying temperature hues.

what he saying would be your best bet will be bright and give the halogen effect
Anyone know how much more light output xenons give? I know you can easily upgrade halogen to 65w and get 20 percent more output. And yellow light is better at night. FYI: if you are looking at a field of flowers at dusk, that last ones that will be visible before it gets dark are the daisys. This is the same reason lighting bugs' light is yellow.
