So my rear cat's choking out my engine, it's super blocked up. I wanted to remove it anyway and put an x pipe in. Could someone help me out and point me in the direction of what i need and where i should get it? I have a 2000 e430 4matic.

Where are you located? make sure to check if its legal to remove cats in the part you live in. As for the X-pipe, you can pretty much pick anyone up on ebay/amazon, i picked mine up at the muffler shop that i got work done at often times they have it.

PA doesn't do emissions except in large citys, and even so they're not very thorough. And honestly i've never seen a muffler shop in my entire life. I didn't know they still existed.

You can get magnaflow 53005
and replace cats or if set on more noise delete the secondaries (if you are sure they are the failed issue) install an easy to fab H-pipe(better than X pipe at normal driving conditions and straight pipe the rest.
Easy for any good shop to fab.
Keep the H-pipe as far forward as you can without interfering with anything.
