Does 1997 E420 have SRS seat sensor pad?
Hey guys - can anyone tell me if the 1997 E420 has the SRS seat sensor, and if so, does it have the same yellow connector that I have read about in the DIY's? As I mentioned in my thread about swapping an E55 interior in my car, the NEW passenger seat from the donor car has this yellow connector but my existing seat DOES NOT (see attached pics in my other thread)....

My SRS light is indeed on so I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing a wire under the seat AND a connector ON the seat. Missing both seems like a rather improbable scenario so I am scratching my head. I'm on vacation and don't have a windows PC to check the EPC with my VIN, though I did check the russian sites and they do list a seat sensor pad. I can't tell if it is the same one with the yellow connector though.

Just to follow up to this thread -- I have been told on another site that the E420 DOES HAVE AN SRS PAD -- but it doesn't use the yellow connector. It sounds like the wiring goes into the red connector. This should work out fine as I can install the right pad if the new seat isn't backward compatible on that same red connector.
