Alright guys, I've thought about it long and hard and I've decided to swap my grill to have the star emblem in the middle (like a CLK, SLK etc).
The thing is, before I go ordering this grill I want your guys' wisdom as to whether or not it will fit my car (I know theres face lift / pre facelift) , is it the correct one, and has anybody tried this on their cars and could provide any photos or advice on how to install it.

Looking at those two grills, they are both different so i'm confused which one is the correct one, i'm leaning towards the second link.... But i'm not quite sure...

I personally think the star is too big (even on the current models except on the SLR where it fits aesthetically). The stars on all these grilles are practically the size of the headlamp bulbs...

The only cars I think the current GIANT mercedes symbol goes well on are the SLR and the SUV's.

 

Too many round circles in the front design will overwhelm.
Post face lift grill is for the 2000-2003 models (wagon) and sedan went to 2002.
More of a curve post facelift than the flatter pre facelift grill.

 

Don't do it. These cars look like **** with the star in the grill.

 

Agree, will look terrible, the Avantgarde grill is a much better option.
