Best Wiper Replacement?

OK, I have read all of the older posts on both this board and BenzWorld concerning wiper blades. My MB had the same issue as others have reported: the OEM blade built up a rubber streak on the windshield over time (this was with the previous owner). I have replaced the windshield and now want to replace the OEM wiper with something that will not streak the new windshield. Does anyone have any "real-world" suggestions for what to use or what you use and/or what is the best replacement for an E320? Thanks much!

I use a Bosch blade. Work well, but I have to change it every 12-18 months

Re: Toby

Toby which Bosch blade are you using? The OEM blade is also a Bosch and I am trying to avoid putting another one of those on like the plague. I was looking at the Bosch Icon but they don't make one for an E320 and those members that have tried to use one anyways, have had issues with the blade lifting off of the windshield at speeds in excess of 60mph. I am not an Anco fan either but they do have several models listed for the E320.

my experience is slightly different than most. I'm still running the same blade
for over 5 years. I park indoors at night so the rubber isn't subjected to UV
and oxidation as much. every month, I dress the blade with silicon. if i know
that i'm going to park it for more than several days, I 'park' the blade so it isn't
touching the glass. don't remember the manuf right now, but it was some
german thing...such as Mann or Bosch.

totally silent - no streak

I CLEAN THE GLASS every week and remove grime/grit....and clay it about 4x yr

Re:

Thanks guys...I'n not sure why they had such an issue with the OEM Bosch blade on the E320 but there was a half-moon streak on the windshield when I bought the car. I tried and tried to get that streak off with no luck. I have read may posts on this board and BenzWorld from owners who had the same issue with their OEM Bosch blades. The thing that bothers me most is that there doesn't seem to be any other choices available except the Anco blade and simply put, I have never had good luck with Anco wiper blades.

I use the Bosch Evolution blade. I believe it is one step down from the icon, but I doubt the rubber blade is actually any different. Unlike the Icon, the frame is symmetrical, so I don't get any of the chattering that some Icon owners report.

On the other hand, I don't think it is anything fantastic, either. I rains very infrequently in my area, so I'm content enough to stick with it.

I have used the cheapest most cheerful Aero blades for years on all our cars...and they have been the best wipers I've ever used. Absolutely silent, even on a bone dry screen.
