2000 CLK 320 convertible
had a wet 98 Diesel
a while back did a post on a wet 98 diesel ...
got it dried out and finally found a OEM PSE vacuum pump, by the time i got to the original, it was all rusty, due to the moisture ....
All installed and everything works as it is suppose too ... Except:
1) Cannot get the rear headsets to lay down, hear the pump kick on, head rests do move
2) Cannot get the trunk open, by either, the fob or with the key. When the trunk button is pressed on the fob, the pump works, but no action.
Re-installing the pump, I marked the old pump & labeled the lines accordingly ... no lines left over, but, have an extra connection on top of the pump .. it is marked 'MKL' on the pump. Just so happens, when the trunk release is pushed on the key fob, the pump works, air comes out of the extra connection.
Any ideas?
I have followed several links for the vaccum line connection(s) on top of the pump, believe I have them correct, since everything else it working as designed.
