Another e430 exhaust question

I was thinking about removing the muffler from the rear. I would be leaving the silencer, second cats in tact. Has anyone done this? Is it way to loud?

Better to

remove the secondary cats and install an H-pipe to balance out the exhaust pulses. Sounds nice at idle, sounds healthy at speed.

I split my exhaust, put in an x pipe, and have 2 glass packs on my E430 4matic, and it sounds great! No problems at all!

+1 on the x-pipe, it sounds awesome! makes the exhaust deeper and throatier.

H-pipe

balances flow better, sounds better and yields more torque on a street car,
also much easier and less money to fab than an X pipe crossover.

My buddy that owns a garage hooked me up with the xpipe, so I couldn't resist
