Has anyone raced a 2000 Porsche Boxter with a 1999 E430 Sport? I had a short run against a friend and I seemed to pull away. I did have the advantage of saying GO, so it was not a fair start.

The base Boxster from 2000 and up has good performance and surprises a lot of cars off the line don’t take the care for granted it is a sleeper and handles like it is on rails

FYI
The (S) model in 2002 is a little faster then the base model in the 0-60 time then a 2003 model in real world testing.
Boxster S models in 0 to 60 areas are not really much quicker then the base Boxster model (About only about ½ sec. Faster in the 0-60 area)

Once you get over 70mph then the Boxster S really shines

Having owned several German cars it always come down to the Driver’s ability so my advice is practice, practice, and practice. A lot of Porsche owners drive their cars hard so they can drive them very well.

Remember your car is designed for high speed Autobahn Driving and the Porsche is a Race Bread car and designed to be driven to extremes.

Ask for a rematch but don’t be surprised if it edges you out!!!
