Nope.... It's fiber optic and you should look on Ebay. They are there often...

Yes, there are two that I know of:

Becker
USA Spec

Both make a fibre optic CD changer that will work. The USA Spec one even looks just like the 203 Alpine changer. Beware that USA Spec also make a non-fibre optic changer as well, so get the correct one for your car.

CD Changer 99 E320

I have noticed several CD changers for sale on ebay.

Wanted to verify which model does fit a 99 E320 (fiber optic), and is there a better brand. I noticed they all have Mercedes logo on them, but some people specify their brand is Alpine. Is there anything that I need to be aware of or stay away from on the changers offered on Ebay?

Thanks in advance for input.

They are alpine units made for Mercedes Benz. Hence, Alpine's disc catridges fit into the Mercedes changers...

The main thing to worry about after you make sure that it will work with your car is too make sure that it works period and that it is not broken. Next, just make sure that it is packed separately and shipped without the cartridge inserted in the changer to avoid damage. Good luck on your hunt...

Thanks for your feedback.

I will make sure I request the cartridge be packed separately. The seller that I am considering bidding from has a good selling record, and seems to sell a lot of stuff. He says the bracket is included and I talked with Freeman's stereo and they said that they can install it for me.

They seem to have them ranging from new in the box to used on ebay. If they can't guarantee that it works and will work with my model, I'll need to look else where.
