E320 4M vs E430 4M

Hello folks - thinking about getting another W210. Looking at 2000-02 E320 4Matic or E430 4Matic. Been looking and most are the same with not many options (almost none have Xenon/headlamp package and if they do for some reason they may not have heated seats) which is frustrating. I have owned two W210s and both were E55s and I loved them. I started years ago looking for an E320 but could not find any with any options - most didn't even have heated seats, so I started looking at E430s and found the same, so I finally started looking at E55s since they had most things standard. I would love another but I am slimming down on my vehicles and would love AWD for winters.

Just wondering who has compared the two directly and what your opinion is?

Is the phone pretty simple to retrofit? I currently have a W211 and installed the V710 in it, but the W210 E55s I recall had the TimePort and and another older one I can't recall to model right off. I guess the 2001-2002 would work with a V60s? I had rather have the handset to use the external antenna rather than bluetooth.

Thanks

I have an e430 4matic, and I love it. It has heated seats and xenons with the headlamp washers. They're pretty common here. I'm actually thinking about selling it to get a e55.

The standard Moto V60S will not work - you need the Mercedes version of the phone. I have the system and I'm not impressed with the phone. It was nice as a carphone but not as a hand held regular cell phone so I don't use it any more.

I wasn't even aware you could get a W210 without heated seats. But as far as the differences between the two - it comes down to horsepower and torque - not much else is different between the two.

I had a V60s back in the day when it was new and I wasn't impressed either. The reception on that phone was very poor. But I do like the integration and the roof mounted antenna. I travel to some remote places for work and one place in particular has almost no reception on my iPhone and it will always drop calls on the way there. The V710 in my E320 however never drops a call going through there. I would miss the external antenna on the car.

I think I will aim for an E430 when I am ready to buy as I enjoy the extra performance, but I would probably take an E320 if the right one came along with most options (designo would be nice!).
