W210 E-class (E200 CDI)
Post W210 SRS/Belt Buckle problem.

Hi all. I've got a 2001 W210 and my SRS dash light is on. The Airbag Off light in the center console is also lit. Another little problem I have is that the passenger beltbuckle won't retract. Well, it WILL retract, but it goes in very slowly. This happened for no apparent reason. Another thing I noticed is that when I turn on the ignition, I hear a little *click* from the passenger side of the car. I cannot determine if the click comes from behind the belt covers or if it's coming from underneath the seat. Could the buckle problem and the SRS problem be in any way related? Any suggestions would be oh so appericiated.

A way to determine the fault is have a buddy scan(non OBD) the SRS module, takes five minutes and you will then find the fault.

Once the fault is found you can then make a decision to do the job yourself or others.

The alternative is start replacing parts without testing and hope for the best not knowing what is wrong-----expensive and a waste of time!! Good Luck
