Question BAS/ETS light

I recently replaced my left front headlamp bulb and after driving a short distance my BAS/ETS light comes on and stays on. I don't believe the two are related but does anyone have any ideas why this is staying on? I am not having any driveability issues. What is the risk of driving with this light on? Cruise control is also not working.

Replacing the brake light switch at the pedal cured the problem. I took the old switch apart and one of the contacts was burnt. Cheap fix in about a half hour thanks to all of the previous posts that I searched on this site.
