Looking to by a E320 Wagon, Opinions on what this car is worth?
I am looking to buy a late model wagon for everyday use.......Looking for honest opinions, what you think this car is worth in a retail setting....
Thanks
Jim
Wagon if as represented is about $1500 to high.
(And for certain it is not as represented used car dealers being what they are). 2001 W210 do not have TPMS, no W210's did.
Carfax means nothing so toss that out the window if you consider it some kind of comfort factor.
Are you going to be performing your own repairs and maintenance?
At 134k Miles it should be short into its 2nd spark plug change,Plugs change at a shop can run from several hundred dollars to over a grand at some dealers.
Much much less if you DIY. A good negotiating cost item if the PPI determines it is running 6-11 year old spark plugs.

Trans filter and fluid are well past due for changing.$$$ if you don't do your own maint. PPI should run lab tests at those miles.
Get an obd2 scanner from harborfreight tools for 59 bucks and scan the wagon for hidden pending codes, before you even take the next step which is taking it for an impartial PPI by a MB specialist. A pro inspector will determine that the car has wear items that need to be addressed or reflected in the price and your desire to make the repairs yourself. A PPI will really determine if it is rust free by inspecting the areas an 01 is prone to rust.
Run the rear windows up and down about 20 times, see if they don't crunch and fall down. PPI will inspect brakes and suspension wear items. You will also want them or yourself to run the onboard a/c diagnostics to check for any odd sensor values or errors. A through test of shift quality and inspection of motor mounts will be well advised.
Fluids, belt, and coolant condition need to be checked.
Have you looked at lower mile 01,02,03(still w210)wagons? If I can locate one with under 90K miles private party for under 8 grand I'm sure you can too.

Have you looked at lower mile private party wagons? For under 8k you could get the slightly smaller(no 3rd row seats) 2003 C class wagon with fewer miles.
Bullet proof platform.
Inspect,inspect,inspect

Then there would be a COMAND w/navigation (not the plain jane stock radio) and an extra stalk on the right of the steering column for voice recognition. I did not see one of those anywhere. Add to these the multi-contour seats that seem to be absent as well.
On the plus side, a 1 owner, non-smoking car is a good thing. And lastly to underline ohlord, get a pre-purchase inspection.
275k miles, have all receipts NOT including what mercedes replaced under
maintenance and warranty contract to the tune of $23,710. Car is like new inside and everything works. This car has had more switches and sensors
replaced and items other than general wear maintenance items than is acceptable. Not for the faint of heart, look for a little less miles and
complete service records for $8-9 grand. I paid $3k with new brakes/tires
all around, recent cats and tune; car runs great.
