There was nothing wrong with the MB, in fact it was GREAT
We used to own a ES300 (97, 95 models) and a C-class 96 model. We thought the E240 didn't have enough power...and the LS430 simply deliver much more power than this MB. (290hps, 6.3 sec (100km)) plus air-suspension (+ sport/non-sport, ECT-Power and ECT-Snow) and massage seating were fun to play with (I was going to post a few shots of the LS430, but thought that this would be OFF-TOPIC )

Anyway, the old C-class 96 model was the best vehicle we have ever driven.

Yeah, but it was a family car, we didn't wanna perform any MOD on it. The LS430 was very attractive to us and there was no point to keep 2 4-door passenger cars. We really like the massage passanger (back) seats, all seats have adjusters, a frig, auto-window sunshades, Power door closers (just like the S-class) and the air-suspension (similar to S-class) which can rise about one to two inches. The ECT-Power was like a TURBO on the Lexus.

The alternative was S320, but it has less features and power. We didn't feel much differences on riding the S320 comparing with a E240. The S500(long) was too expensive and it was quite difficult to control comparing with the E240 and LS430.

Anyway, I'll still be around this forum

i live in brentwood tn, my house is about 10 miles south of nashville. Deed restrictions in my county are 10 acres for every 10 homes. I have 1.7 because my subdivision is late 70's to late 90's build date. The new homes around me are smaller lots because the associations are getting away with it with more common area and golf course land. I like my privacy!

and i have already payed for it once on the inside. I ordered a set of parrellies???? (spelling but dont care) and when they came in they said they wouldnt fit and i needed to get these. I like the style cuz nobody has them. The inside of my rim will rub agains the control arm if i get the body rolling around corners. If i had those tires then they would also rub and i think tare up my tires worse. I got the three peice wheels and i have been thinking of sending one back to get the lip replaced but...i am in no hurry at the moment. I know for sure that IF i ever sell the car that the wheels will be going with it. I got them for that car and trying to find another car to make it all look good seems pointless. Ill find a car i like and then find wheels that set the car off. Not the other way around. I do not regret getting these at all and enjoy them a lot. I just have to be EXTREMELY!!!!!!!!!! carefull, but you learn the roads ok. Pulling into raised level parking lots is the worst, that is how i got the one one the RR wheel. but it really isnt bad but it is if that makes sense?... Anyway, i am gonna head to lunch. Ill be back later.

Mmmm, was going to suggest using some spacers but looks like you don't have enough fender clearance.....I did hear many guys here say 20's would be difficult. Anyways, good luck

there have been a few people that have changed out there lights. The only person that comes to my mind is alexbenz though. Thats just cuz he had to do some fabricating to make them fit. I know there are more but they dont stand out in my head like his. If i remember right, he had to do that because of an accident??? Do a serch for those lights...you should see things that you are looking for.

well the 96-99 ones are out now and there easy install, we've done some at our shop here... i had a little problem due to my accident and how they repaired my car but reguardless you would have to modify some parts and it still wouldn't be a perfect fit...
