New with E430! Questions ect...

Hello,
My GF just picked up a 2001 E430 that is primo in the exterior and decent on the exterior and im looking for advice. First, I thought i saw somewhere that there is a E class exclusive forum? Besides this one of course... Anyway, currently i have issues with the abs light, srs light, passenger seat controls (moves the wrong way, kinda backwards. Think i will start with a cleaning), passenger front speaker doesn't work at all, and either the brake light is lit on the dash or the bas light, i cant recall. We bought the car and its currently getting some PDR before we take delivery. I'm just trying to get an idea on what I need to check before so i can get to it when i pick it up. FYI i have never owned a MB and know nothing about them! lol. I have always been a bmw enthusiast not to mention domestic cars. Anyway, Thanks!

brakleight switch is a likely culprit for the abs and bas light. SRS light (airbag) needs a special scanner -dealer or indie- to reset.

Wouldn't the brake lights not work if it was the switch?

if you have a failed brake light bulb and dont fix it for too long you can get abs and bas light. I had the same issue and finally fixed the bulb and the error went away.

Not sure, I'm still waiting to take possession of it.

If the CC doesn't work that's one more piece of evidence that the brake light switch is defective.

Sweet, I hope it's something as simple as that.
