Ah, not known to be a very descriptive kinda guy

Try again - "not-as-whimpy" as most others or more solid (with the extra contours/bumps and curves etc. (speaking from experience, , although quite stand-outdish (IMO stunning), its especially diffcult to make a white car look as "tough" as yours).

Yeah, I think one has to see it in person. Somehow, pics don't do cars, especially E's (for some reason) much justice

Please do post pics with new mods some time

Sounds cool. Been considering white handles too (got the carbon pillars as std) - please post pics when ready.

Yellow's sharp, if you can handle it - why not white again (too boring to have two at the same time I guess)? Can't understand why you'd choose the more responsive bimmer as a day-to-day instead of the benz . Certainly two very different styles of driving needed for these two and I like both (actually, always wished the benz has just a little more punch ).. Do let us know how the two compares.

Now wait a minute Alex, what year M5 are we talking about?!? The new M5's are expensive and you are planning to use that as your "everyday" over the Benz ...

well its gonna be a 2002 but i don't know how it drives, i've only drivin a M3 so far but i know the M5 has more juice then the M3, but i don't know which one i'd drive around, knowing me i'd go out in the morin with one and come back home and take out the other, i gotta get something else cause i don't wanna put lots of miles on the benz, i was also thinking of the GMC yukon denali on some 24's.......

I have driven an '02 M5 and they are SICK!!! You'll love the drive. Also, why are you worried about putting miles on the Benz? Drive the **** out of it, that' what it's for. The more miles you put on it the more it gets broken in. I have over a 120k miles on mine and it runs, looks and performs better than ever! I am also considering an SUV or 4X4 truck though as I need one for my side jobs. GM is giving $4000 bucks cash back right now if you buy new. Good luck...

O well, it i will have AMG exhaust atleast heh
Dude, sorry to hear that . I still haven't taken decent pics of my car yet (too busy with a new job!) but just to give you another option to think about, here's a rough and ready pic of my Sebring exhaust if you want something that's different from the AMG's. Will take out the mid-muffler soon - I'll keep you posted on any improvements on pickup, if any.........

Your sig! "No exhaust", kind of humorous. Hope you'll manage to unleash your 13sec car soon!

Nice exhaust

A couple quick questions for the group, I have a '99 Black E430 Sport, how much should a good dual exhaust cost. A Mercedes accessories company in Miami quoted me about $410 installed.

Also I'm thniking of repainting it either Pearl black or Obadishah?? black, I'm just thinking of the name off the top of my head. Anyway, how much is a good paint job cost that won't decrease thevalue of my Benz when I sell it in a few years?

Look at my new red calipers also, got the kit from Tire Rack and had my oil change guy hand paint them for 30 bucks and let the car sit as his shop overnight as they dried.

clco, $410 buck for exhaust installed is pretty cheap. Who makes it? You will find good exhast systems ranging from about $700 to $2000 bucks, depending on the mfr. ie. Carlsson, Brabus, etc...

Changing the original color of any car will decrease the value no matter how good the job is because it's not original anymore. But, changing the color by someone that knows what their doing can at least insure you will be able to resell the car without any complaints from a new buyer. My body shop friend on the average charges around $3000-3500 for an entire changeover meaning painting inside all of the jams, engine compartment, etc...

Good luck with your project and post some pics. when you're done!
