sorry, I took mine in for it's B service. It was very reasonable though, compared to my previous SAABs, it cost £110.

Reset the Flex Service System

How to reset the Flex Service System on a 98+ E-Class...

1) Turn key to position 2, within 4 seconds press the "0" twice
(The present value is displayed)
2) Within 10 seconds turn the key back to the 0 position
3) Press and hold the "0" button while turning the key to position 2 again
(The present value is displayed again),
continue to hold the "0" button for 10 more seconds
You should hear a beep and the counter will go back to 10K miles.
4) Release the "0" button

For some reason, I always have to have the drivers door shut for this to work. It might be on my car only but if you run into problems make sure the door is shut before starting.

You have the multifunction buttons on your steering wheel.

1) Turn ignition to position 2
2) Call up the odometer readings on your center display using the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel. The ones that that have one square over another, with one shaded.
3) Press the up or down arrows until the FSS indicator appears.
4) Press and hold the (R) button for 4 seconds.
Message displayed "Do You Want To Reset The Service Interval? Confirm By Pressing R".
5) Press and hold (R) for 4 seconds.
Message displayed "Service Interval Has Been Reset".
