k, I finally got around to taking the pic and pulling it off my cam...
It's not a traditionally "Mercedes" shaped knob, but I was going for a sportier look to go with the rest of my car ;0)

Is that a custom metal insert - never seen a matt metalic one - NICE
Ever thought about cutting down the shaft for a cleaner and even more sportier look?

The carlsson logo sticker is made from brushed aluminum vinyl and my friend's shop made it. He has a sticker machine and can make anything from little etched glass ones to big windshield banners. The aluminum shift gate I got as a set with the chrome surround from Jerry at www.formymercedes.com He's a nice guy and the set was only $69.99. I've thought of cutting the shifter down but it would feel a little weird that low. Right now it fits right in my hand ;0)

Shorter shift=more sporty but know what you mean, that's why I went searching for one that'll cover the ridge in the shaft
Would love that metal plate since I've got the chorme surround alread. Been considering carbon look also, to go with my knob - will probably stick some on myself!

Guys, only cut the shaft if you plan not to use a proper MB specific knob again. Josh's and my Momo (and the other aftermarket stick shift knobs) are held in place by screws on the side,whilst quite secure, does not utlize the notches on top.
