Arrow Looking at a 99 E430...Thoughts?

Hey all,
I'm expecting a baby and have to sell/trade my 98 Nissan Frontier pickup so I can get a vehicle with a backseat that is also a bit safer.

I got offered a trade of a 1999 E430 with 114,000 miles. Fully loaded, haven't gone to check it out yet but we might meet up within the next couple days.
I know it has a moonroof and the timing belt got done within the last 30k miles so that takes a bit of pressure off.

What I need know is what to look for?
What to avoid?
I live in upstate NY, how will the car be in the winter with good snow tires on it?

I've owned BMWs and Audis in the past but never a MB, so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Check the wikipedia entry for W210, it covers a lot of the common issues. Aside from that, they are quite reliable cars.

This 13 yearvold car will have stuff break that you need to DIY if you want to love your car. These forums are a great source of info to help you do that economically. If you are the type who freaks out when something breaks, or have to rely on the stealer for repairs, or if you're going to have more babies in the near future, then go for a newer minivan.
