Rear power sunshade

Making noise when button is pressed but will not go up or down.
Any ideas what is failing?
Or how much to get this fixed?

Yes the motor has failed, however if the motor makes a noise that would indicate that rear fuse 12 is good as the sunshade motor is getting power.

The removal and motor install of the shade motor is not a ten minute job. In fact a very labor intensive job.

I would go to startek and spend the 18 bucks and search for and print WIS document AR6830P4580Fand all the docs associated with.

Failing that, if you go to an indy he will also need to have access to the documents. Therefore if you go that route ask him point blank "Do you have access to WIS docs"---if the reply is I just took a WIS five minutes ago----then tell seattle sam, you just got a call from your wife and have to RUN and RUN fast untill you find an indy that undestands and has repaired MB's

Talked to the dealer and they quoted around $2200 for parts and labor.
Yep..very labor intensive and the entire assembly with the motor needs to be replaced.
I will leave it alone
