How to tell cat converter is bad

I hear a ticking noise on driver side but only when car is fully warmed up. I get white smoke when its cold for a good 15min. No milky oil no overheating no rough idle gas mileage normal no oil on spark plugs and no CEL.

Ticking noise is probably some lifter. White smoke when cold it's just condensation. no worry about. If the ticking noise increase go for an indy or dealer to check the car. what perio has your last oil change an what oil do u use for it - w-?

Try 5w50 M1 in the next oil change, and see if the ticking dessapear, common in this engines a lifter fail producing ticking noise mate!
