A/C Operation
Does anyone know when the air recirculation button disengages itself (except when the engine is swtiched off)?
The air is pretty bad in my town so whenever the a/c is on, I turn on the recirc but on rare occassions it will swtich itself off when I drive. At first I thought openning the window (e.g. to pay toll) or door, or stopping for an extended period would automatically disengage the recirc. function but I can't be sure (never had the chance to experiment). Is this a malfunction?

whitey I believe the recirc switches off after approx 20 minutes or so of use... most of the time I have the A/C on it automatically is on inside air mode, even though the button isn't lit...the climate control supposedly has an automatic air recirc mode if it detects pollutants in the air....

Thanks Paomien but ummmmm, not sure about the 20 min thing. Nonetheless, maybe its got something to do with auto detection of foul air - I seem to remember reading that somewhere........
