Exclamation Heater not working!

Hey guys, my car has been fine with the heater and ac stuff before but now when i set my climate control to 72F and push auto, then i get warm air, not 72F air but warm air, when i am on the gas pedal once i stop for a stoplight or anything i am getting A/C COLD air!! The other thing is that the air is not even blowing thru the central air vent and the warm air is also constantly going to the windshield defrost vents!! So i dont know what is happening and my guess is that the auxiliary water pump is gone, so please help!

Read your manual on how the system works---AC air comes out of the center vents and heated air comes out the side vents.

Are you the same guy who doesn't want to pay for a good scan!!

Dude if my car manual is written in English i would read it, but it is written in German. Sorry that i dont know German, the owner before me imported it here to the US. I know that the AC cool air comes out in the center vent and the heated air comes out the side vents, as i said before the problem is the heated air is going to the WINDSHIELD DEFROST VENTS! and i only get heated air if i am stepping on the gas pedal and when i let go or stop at a stop light the air suddenly changes from heated to cold air in all the vents, as if i turned on the AC. And yes i am the guy that was asking about the scan, but i never said that i dont want to pay for them!! i was saying that i dont know the right price for a good scan!!

my 99 E320 emits cold air when the AC is on through the center vents (above
the radio). when thermostat is set above 72ºF it will blow very warm air. in
other words, it works no different than my old Nissan truck in that any vent
can blow warm or cold and in response to the baffle and vent wheel settings.
perhaps i have a rare/collectable. i'll try various settings this week and see
if this is still the case

vents blow lukewarm air and the side vents blow hot air when the thermostat is
set to 80º

My name is Victoria and I think you shouldn't try to do it yourself. Get someone who might know a little bit about ac or take the car to a ac shop.

Ok, but I didn't know that Plutoe has a shop!! I would love to come there and get my car scanned. So where are you located?? You can private message me if you want to. Raymond g- that is suppose to be the normal action if I turn the heater on, but in my car only the side vents blow warm air an the rest hot air goes to the windshield defroster vents that's located in the front of the dash. Also I only get the warm air only when I am on the gas pedal and when I let go or stop giving gas to the car, the warm air slowly tuts into AC cold air. My understanding is that the water solenoid pump is bad and the engine is just pushing the water around and thus getting luke warm air when on gas and cold air when not on gas.

My 'by appointment only" shop is located Apollo Beach, Florida. Although we do loads of mobile work, I am sure that you being in a suburb of Atlanta will have no difficulty in finding a shop with a DAS Xentry diagnostic set. Good Luck!!
