Engine Swap

At 248,000 my 1998 e320 is tired. I've located a low mileage engine from a 2001 e320 but my mechanic said they weren't compatible due to wiring. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Your mechanic knows what he is talking about-------time to move up to a low mileage 99 car!

There is another alternative, don't follow your mechanics advice and purchase the 01 engine anyway!!
