Right Rear Brake Pad worn at Severe angle??

Right Rear Brake Pad worn at Severe angle??
As I was driving home the other night I my brake pedal went to the floor so I limped it back to my shop. After putting it on a lift I found that the brake fluid was leaking from the caliper where the piston goes through the boot. I believe the piston is too far out due to the brake Pad being worn at an extreme angle. It looks like a right triangle. The driver side rear also is wearing at an angle but not nearly as severe. What is causing this? I know this can occur with dual piston calipers but on a single?

Im having the same problem on the wifes car. Ive noticed when changing the caliper the pistons arent flat there is a step on them. Im wondering if you have to line them up a certain way. Maybe? Anyway im taking her car in for an alignment today. Ill ask the tech about that and report back with hopefully an answer...
