1998 c43 amg

2000 e430 running hot ?

My 2000 e430 while at a stop light the temperature gauge will read a little under 100 degrees f is this normal ? Where do your guys w210 temperatures peak at ? Help and input will be greatly appreciated.

Perfectly normal my 420 runs to around 100 and goes back down after the thermostat opens up. As long as it does not go over 100 you are good.

No prob man, glad we could help. If you ever see the gauge going over 100 i would start with a coolant flush and thermostat replacement. Im currently running Motul Mo-cool, its an additive you put in your coolant and helps keep the rad a bit cooler.

'99 E430, '05 ML500, '15 GLK350

At idle, it's mostly your fan doing the cooling. Make sure your fan clutch (viscous coupling) hasn't bitten the dust like they do after about 120k miles.
