Fan shroud removal W210 320CDI, year 2000,
Hello everybody.
I need to remove the fan shroud in order to change the belt and inspect for potential leaks.
I tried a search and could not find anything successfull.
Is there any trick to take away this shroud?

Out Of Control!!
If you have never done this before I would suggest you search for document AR2040P5660HC( PM Konigstiger in W211 he has access to docs)----this gives you the step by step process.
You will also need the special 8mm short socket to remove the fan/clutch to allow for the removal of the fan shroud upward.

Your face lifted car may be different from my '97, but on my car you just remove the two clips on top, and just pull the shroud straight up. There is no need to mess with the fan to change the belt on my car.
