Replaced accumulators but my wagon still rides rough

My wagon has had a harsh ride for quite a while so I finally decided to fix it. Everything in front has been replaced except for the upper control arms and the front is smooth and dead quiet.

I have now replaced the accumulators and sway bar links in the rear and the ride is still very harsh. I also can't get the self leveling system to rise with weight in the back. However, if I disconnect the lever from the sway bar and move it up the car will lift. Unfortunately, I didn't test it before I replaced the accumulators. I'm guessing that I need to adjust the linkage to the sway bar but any input is appreciated.

I replaced the tires with no change.

The real problem is the ride quality. I have taken a close look at all of the bushings and there doesn't seem to be any obvious wear that would explain my problem. Also, the rear subframe bushes do not appear to be cracked or torn even with the car on a lift and the wheels suspended.

This is a 1999 E320 Wagon with 146K.

Has anyone else had this problem?

its possible the accumalators you bought are faulty. If they have sat unsold on the shelf for a long time, they could be shot already.i think the self levelling system only works upto about 200 kg,how much weight do you put in the back when testing?

I've had as much as 600 lbs. in there with no results.

I'm going to look at it again this weekend so I'm open to suggestions.
