All I can say is that you are missing ASR, seat belt, high beam and fuel reserve(missing one lower and two R and L indicators, a total of 5 bulbs)
![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Test those functions to see if the bulbs are not burnt out, however a MUCH more simpler approach is to pull the cluster.

The high beam n LR signal still available.
Seat belt, ASR & fuel reserve I might nid check.
May I know wat is ASR stand for?
For my version, the steering can't b adjust so is hard to approach the instrument cluster.
Cheers

Yep-----you gotta take off the steering wheel to get to the cluster---oh well!!
The ASR(acceleration slip regulation) is apart of the ETS(electronic traction system)---it's all described in much detail in you owners manual---spend some time reading and searching

Checked by your VIN----did the car come from Japan(FYI the car does not have the ASR system)???
In any event there are two indicator bulbs on the lower left side and going from R to L they are brake fluid level and seat belt warning.
On the upper most right side there is one indicator lamp above the battery, however I looked in WIS and EPC and I just can't find the description for the lamp--very sorry---- I just can't spend more time on this project

I not too sure where is the car origin from as the previous owner never mention much to me. But i will find out later.
Bout the instrument panel, both side bottom L & R i have tested it out. But it never shown any sign of the warning light come on. As well the upper of right side tested but not sign of any light come on too.

i have e200 1996. and the same light come on when i turn ignition. you can turn the lights, push the high beam leaver to check the indicator on the right in line with others (should glow blue) , press hazard lights to chech L/R turn lights.
there are 2 more bulbs on the bottom right, the wheel symbol (probably steering wheel pressure or oil level) and seatbelt symbol but they never turn on on my mercedes either so you're GOOD TRUST ME !
maybe on 1997. versions is something diferent , but on the first ones since 124 that's it

So everything is OK and as it should bebon mine and yours because that is normal for 1996 models....
You dont need to dismantle the steering wheel. Just pull out intsrumet cluster, than disconnect the left and right sockets and slide the cluster to the right....
