I just got in the game of these wonderful W210 cars. From the moment this body came onto the market, I have always wanted one. Well, I just got my 99 4MATIC with low miles and wanted to make some comments...

1) It's been a long time since I have driven one of these and I was surprised at how much body roll and softness it has.

2) Not really paying much attention to the interior, it is amazing how cars have matured (fit and finish) since 99. I also have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 4.6

3) I am surprised that the car is relatively close to my Genesis in road noise; however, the engine noise is a bit louder.

With all that said, I really like the car and I am going to make this my daily driver (I might sell the Genesis). So, I would like to try and get the W210 to ride and drive similar (could be wishful thinking but want to try) to my Genesis. What suspension changes would everyone recommend that may help the W210 ride similar to the Genesis. Also, I would like to firm up the steering. The steering is responsive; however, it is lite. The Genesis has a firm feel, similar to the large Lexus. Hope everyone has driven a Genesis...

Sell the W210 and buy another Genesis!!

Or take the car to a body shop and tell them you want to swap front ends and steering with a Genesis!!

Sell the Genesis and use that money to cover the expenses of locating another W210 that rides and steers like a Genesis!!

Take it to a shop and have them put it on a lift. They will be able to check all of the suspension parts, and see which ones have play and may need replaced to increase the ride quality.

Great ideas, love the suggestion... car is at a highly recommended independent. He is going to run code checks as well as an overall check up. Just today, I noticed the climate control is not adjusting the vent position. Hopefully, this is not going to be expensive.
