Sound systems and suspension
I've got the 97 e420 and I want to put a aftermarket radio in it but I've been told I need an amplified wiring harness, is this true?
Also this is my first Mercedes, I've only had e36's all my life so this is new to me. I want to lower my e420 by an inch, any good sites for lowering springs?

Amplified wiring harness? You only want to install aftermarket HU without any speaker, wiring, amplifier upgrades? No need for any wirings unless you go all out with separate component speakers, amps for speakers and so on. Just plug n play.

for suspension, there are companies like h&r and eibach that make springs that lower around 1". they go for around $300 on ebay. eibach springs are known to be a little softer while h&r springs are a little firmer and lower a little more
