E320 read door no power?

Hello,

I have an S reg W210 - E320 which, touch wood is being relatively well behaved, aside an intermittent BAS fault which i cant clear...

Since we bought it the nearside rear door window and puddle light hasnt worked, and i have checked all the fuses i can find listed, today i had the interior panel off hoping for an obviou problem, but it all looks clean...

Neither the forward or the door window swith works, and the puddle light bulb has been tested and works, so i am hoping someone here will jump in with an obvious and easy answer (i can hope cant i?) for a common fault that causes this...

I wait with baited breath...

Charlie

Before you burn you BAS light bulb out and heat up the socket to the point that replacing the bulb becomes very difficult----have someone with a good scanner clear the fault.

The rear door window and the so called puddle light are two different issues. The puddle lamp lights when the door switch opens---play with the four switches and see if the lamps light.

While the door panel was off did you use a meter to check if there was any voltage at the motor when the switches were engaged??

Once again if you had the proper scan tools you would quickly determine the faults without being invasive----Oh well
