I Debadged the E320, and I'll put the Brabus script on the trunk (I have real brabus front and rear add on lips and 2 (lol yes just 2) real centercaps 
so I'm not posing 
).
Question is: where to put it?
I think it should go on the left.

I would put it on the right, even though you already debadged you ride. The AMG badge goes on the right to show modification and so I think the Brabus should. This is just my opinion though because the left side is for model designation.

Of course it's a matter of preference when you get down to such a minor decision. IMO, I would've left the E320 badge on the left and put the Brabus one on the right.

there is someone driving around Boca (South Florida) with an old body style Brabus CL600, dark blue, with Euro plates (saw it this morning).

According to Brabus, the trunk script should be placed on left side. But of course, it all comes down to personal preference.
But hey I REALLY like that upside-down idea. I'll give you mad props if you do it!! lol Do it Mike
