Spring Perch Replacement

I'm trying to find information about replacing the spring perch/mount on my 1998 E300TD.

I have tech doc. AR62.10-P-0006E which describes installation of a new mount. I think the part number for the new mount is 210.62.25.67, described as a "Cover" for the left side.

I have also found the complete striker plate with part number 210.620.23.67. This is the frame panel that already has the mount attached.

Information noted above came from here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...g-bracing.html

It looks as though the installation instructions for the complete striker plate is document AR62.10-P-003EC, but that may only be instructions for checking. Does anyone have access to this document or any other installation instructions?

Can anyone confirm that the "Cover" 210.62.25.67 is in fact the part shown in AR62.10-P-0006E? The MB parts diagrams are simply illustrations that do not accurately describe these several parts.

I intend to affect this repair myself providing I can gather enough information. Replacing the perch seems to be pretty straight forward. I'm a little more worried about the striker plate replacement since I can't find instructions and don't know how the original part is installed. I presume it's welded in so I'm not sure how I'd get it out. I'm pretty sure that my panel is sufficiently eroded that I can't replace only the mount. Damage is well beyond reinforcement with part 210.626.01.19.

I'm finally getting serious about fixing my car and started looking for info again today. I found a couple of repair documents at workshop-manuals.com that I hadn't seen before. Unfortunately, the quality is a bit rough so I'm having trouble reading things. Would you (or anyone else) be able to find better quality versions?

Here are the document numbers:
AR62.10-P-0009EA
AR62.10-P-0009EB
AR62.10-P-0009EC

The images that were in the document I was asking about before are clearly the same as those in the EB and EC documents noted. I presume that these also apply to my 1998 even though workshop-manuals.com has them under 1996 only.
