1996 Mercedes e320 Rear Seat Removal
I cannot figure this out and the instructions I have recieved from people do not seem to work on this. Please view the photos and I would appreciate anyone explaining how this is done. The photo shows a plastic black thing and a plastic white thing. The photo location is of the front of the rear seat, towards the floor, on the drivers side close to the door.
you can use the SEARCH function on this forum and find other suggestions
p.s. try pushing/pulling the seat around a little on the chance that it may
jog the catch into releasing.

-Do not push white piece back towards trunk of car
-Do get fingers under white piece and lift towards ceiling while kneeing/pulling the seat around?
Unfortunately the problem with the power seats is still there (seats are moving in reverse as to what they should be doing). Yes, I tried everything, the switch is 2 years old. Bad engineering by Mercedes. This could be related to the fact that the car has a wiring harness in the front with biodegradable wiring and had hundreds of missing pieces of insulation. This is nothing more than <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> <o
oNotUseLongFilenames/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]-->planned obsolescence. I am absolutly disgusted with Mercedes. Add this to the head gasket that is showing signs of failing. I am actually preparing the card to be sold now, we we not sure we would by another Mercedes, but we decided not too. Too many problems for too long. The quality has been nothing but a disapointment. This is what a company should get when they f*** the customers with planned obsolescence. F*** Mercedes, they can sell their cars to some other chump.
