Signs of leaks under the intake manifold
On my 98 E300D I can see signs of either previous leaks or existing leaks on components under the intake manifold. It is hard to see under there, so I'm thinking that maybe I need to remove the manifold, clean up the various components, re-install manifold, and then watch/monitor.
I've never done this before but have read the DIY article about replacing the glow plugs over at peachparts and it looks simple enough to remove/replace the manifold.
Must I replace the gasket every time I remove the manifold? If I do it the first time, then find leaks, and pull it again with 2 weeks or 1000 miles to fix the leaks would the new gasket be new enough?

just be careful with the gasket, and as you know you have to remove the intake manifold to work on all the fuel lines, sensors, glow plugs,SOV and pump----do a fuel line pressure test and the leak or leaks will be come very apparent----search the web for the test---you are a diesel owner now do the home work!!
