I lost my wheel lock key....
I have misplaced my 2002 E55 OEM wheel lock key which i used couple weeks ago and now I can't find it. I just called the local Buffalo dealer and I was told I need a 3 number code but the only document I have when I bought the car was a wheel lock instruction with a blue sticker read "CODIERUNG 4". Does anyone know how to proceed to get a replacement lock? I know the key is made by McGard but on their website doesn't offer Mercedes Benz replacement. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

when i lost one for my bmw ,i went to the dealer and there were something like 30 different options. The technician came to the car with his set of different "keys" and found the one it was. Then ordered the corresponding part. i would think mercedes is the same.

Yup, most wheel and tire shops can get the key for you. Should be between 20 and 30 dollars. If they cant get it, they can remove the wheel locks.

I called Mcgard, the maker of the lock/key, and I was instructed to take a photo of the lock on the wheel and email it to them with the info for the car. Within 1 hour of sending the photo I got a call back and I was told they have the key in stock. Fortunately the company is located in Orchard Park NY which 40 miles away. So I pick up the key when I was running errands in Buffalo today, cost $25 and importantly the key fits perfectly. Now the snow tires can go on the car.

Last month when I went to install winter tires I had a problem regarding the locks; The shop told me that they searched everywhere, they couldn't find anything, They told me that they can cut through the wheel But it could damage the monoblocks, I went to the dealer only to hear the same thing. I searched myself and found the two locks right in front of me
