A brief introduction.

I purchased a 2000 E320 2wd with some problems.... It's taken about 10 days and the same number of hours but it appears that my car is now road worthy. Here is what I've done so far. MAF sensor and EGR tube cleaned, spark plugs, oil, oil filter, and air filter changed. An oil leak has been diagnosed and halted and the check engine light is off permanently (I hope). The only thing left to be done is the installation of my fog light bulbs.

Before you buy bulbs check the condition of the fog lamp harness(by removing).

Over the years they deteriorate and folks buy bulbs without checking or haven't got the foggiest idea of what they are doing, then start to whine that they purchased new bulbs and the fog lights still do not work---what did I do wrong.

A nice write up on bulb replacement, and renewal of the fog lamps.

I already removed and checked the bulbs. Both were burnt out. Thanks for the concern y'all. Has anyone else had to replace the upper radiator hose support clip thing? Mine is broken off. I might replace the upper radiator hose soon since it was rubbing on the oil filter housing and I have no idea when the antifreeze / coolant was last changed.

This is pretty important and MB recommends every 3 years.

I've already purchased the anti-freeze, but I still need the part number for the hose clip that connects to th oil filter housing.

There are any number of posts that steer you toward the MB Electronic Parts Catalog, I would try that. Otherwise, any dealer parts department should find that quickly.

I had a hard time replacing the fog bulbs, the car is stock height, but the space is very small.
I used a jack to lift the car a little bit

park the car overhanging a tall curb. access the fog light hatch from the lower level.
another technique is to remove the lower engine under shield (about a dozen 10mm
screws). makes the job whole lot easier.

after you swap the bulb out one time, you should be able to do the job by feel next time
