Thinking to upgrade to W210
Hello, gang.
I currently have a '94 E320 with a little over 100K. I am thinking about buying a 2-3 year old E430 (W210). Do they have any common problems like W124s have? For example, oil leaks from under the head, AC push-button control unit failures, OVP relay failures, etc. Any signs or simpthoms to look for on a used E430? Any info is greatly appreciated.

2000 vs. previous
From what I can determine the year 2000 had many improvements that were due to the mid-cycle changes. The old in-line 6 is repaced by a V6 and there are interior improvements in the matierials as well.
I have hear some complaints about window regulators in some of these models but not anything that could be called a general problem for these models.
I would think that with a 2000 or later you will be much more satisfied than with the eariler years of the 210.

I have a buddy with a 97 e430,and Ive driven it like it was mine,and to tell ya the truth,its a solid step up from the older ones,and not that different than my 02,except the ride in mine is naturally tighter,more responsive in handling due to 17's,and low mileage of course.

I'd look for one with HID Xenon headlamps and stick with the models after 2000. Navigation is an option after 2000 also.
Actually, the only common problem that I can recall from owners on this board and myself is rattling headliner/sunroof. I had the same rattle issues in my traded 98 E430 and my current 2002 E55. Good Luck.
