430E 4Matic winter tires

Looking at michelin alpine for winter tires. Would like a slightly cheaper Michelin or similar with no or little loss in performance on snow ice. Live in Michigan. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I run General Altimax Arctic snows on my 05 E320 that I keep in Michigan. IMO these are great tires, and have had no issues with them.

Michelin x-ice

I just put michelin x-ice xi3 on both of my w210 4matics. I would recommend them. I haven't put many miles on them yet, but I have driven them in snow and ice without any problems. I previously had nokians on my w124 and those were also excellent.
