About to purchase a 2000 E55 need your advice
Hey Guys,
I'm about to go look at a 2000 E55 tomorrow and want to make sure I'm not overpaying and want your advice on what I should look out for.
About the car: It has 69K miles. Per the owner, besides the CD player and a small dent on one of the rear doors the car has nothing wrong with it and has been parked and has always been parked in the garage. The guy is the 3rd owner. Been driven 20k miles since he bought it 10 yeas ago. Service records have a service B, blower motor and rear door window motor being replaced in 2007. Needed spark plugs and wires replaced in 2010 (misfiring issue per mechanic). Owner has done nothing else to the car.
Ist owner was a company and owned it for about 5 k miles
2nd owner was an older guy till about 49k miles
Current owner is also not some young racer but not an older guy either.
This car for sale in the SF bay area
Car is stock.
Price: 12K
Originally listed it for 16k and then lowered it to 14k. Now he's firm at 12k AS IS after our conversation.
What do you guys things? Edmunds says the car is worth about 7.5k and Kbb says 13.5K. Now that's a huge difference between the two. Oh and I plan on getting an inspection done too but owner will still not budge on the price if we find something wrong.
