Advice on first Benz
Okay, so I'm ready to buy my first car. I fell in love with a black 2000 E320 and it's right in my price range but I just have a few questions for people who would know most about it. Heres the one I'm looking at:
Would this make a good, reliable first purchase that I can enjoy for years without any major issues? Is there anything I should look for before purchasing? Are they reliable? How difficult/expensive is it to maintain them? Thanks for your help!
This is my first post and first time dabbling in MB territory, so excuse my ignorance

It might be a good buy depending on what was done maintenance wise. If it has service records indicating that the normal wear and tear items have been replaced, then I say go for it.
If it doesn't have any records...id stay away. That's a lot of miles. Our cars can easily go that long without ANY service...but youll have a ticking timebomb on your hands.

I found another one, but it's newer and a diesel. It doesn't have the 4MATIC which would be nice in the winter, but I think the newer year with the more fuel efficient diesel would also be nice. It has 60,000 more (200,000 total) miles on it but to a well maintained Mercedes diesel that is nothing, lol. So what do you guys think?
are there any major performance differences between the diesel and the gas?

I'm pretty skeptical about the diesel because it's priced about $4000 below it's bluebook value, when kbb value is usually much lower than the sell price. This to me sounds like there's some issues with it
