2003 S210 3.8L Brabus wagon
Two sensors on the front brakes and one sensor to the rear usually on the passenger side.
The rears are easy to replace and is very obvious when you start to remove the wheel.
Brembo cross drilled perform very well and when used w/ Red Stuff ceramic pads = no squeak and no fade on repeated aggressive stops. No rotor warp or cracks at 21K mi. Also no brake dust build up!!!

A. you need to be in the C class forum
B. Start a new topic it will get better feed back than pulling up a 7 year old post
C. www.autohausaz.com for oe rotors and pads and sensors.
D. You never install cross drilled rotors they are prone to cracking and other than posing do nothing for brake performance.
E. you need to replace the rotors if they are worn
they can't be lathed.

[About how many more miles can you drive from the time the "Brake lining Wear" light comes on in an S500, before replacing the pads and sensor?]
No one can really give you this info. as it depends on how you drive. In my case there was more than 1/8" on the most worn pad. I have no sensor on the rear of my '97 E. I simply clipped the sensor wire on the most worn pad which turned the warning off, and changed the pads when I could find the time.

It should go off when new sensors are installed. If you used all new sensors, one of them may be defective. I believe your car has at least one sensor on the rear. If you unplug each sensor one at a time, the warning will go out when you unplug the defective one, at least that is how they work on my '97. The defective one may be making electrical contact through the pad to the disk due to bad insulation on the sensor.

Just search for the trouble codes online. i.e. "Mercedes error code P0720".
Here's one that popped up: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163...limp-mode.html
You really need to put the Mercedes diagnostic tester on it. The P0720 OBD code covers eight(!) Mercedes trouble codes that point to eight different items.
