1999 E300D what is it worth?
I own my parents E 300 turbo diesel that I am considering selling. the car has 159k has never seen snow and has no rust anywhere. it also has never been painted or touched up as its never been in an accident.
I have had one incident where there was hail damage that was remedied by a paint less repair shop though an insurance claim.
can any one tell me what they think this car is worth?

Go to Kelly Blue Book (KKB.com) and you can get an estimated trade-in value and retail value. Trade-on could be around $5,700, with a range of $4,766-$6,633. Consumer Retail could be around $7,255. The numbers change of course due to mileage, condition, wear & tear, needed repairs, even the area where you live.
Another source is National Auto Dealers Association, or NADA (nada.com). They come up with higher estimated values, but sometimes I think they are a little too high compared to real-market pricing especially on some European vehicles with horrific repair and maintenance costs.

As they say on T.V., your mileage may vary, meaning there is no set concrete price. It's kind of like real estate: the price is what a buyer is willing to pay and what a seller is willing to let it go for... sometimes those numbers aren't very close to each other! If you want to sell, it's important to have a price that you can sell at, not one that just makes you feel good at what your car might be worth.
