Height differences on different shocks?
I'm beginning to think this is true as both Mtdceo and I had Eibach springs installed on stock (or other shocks) and found that the front was not lowered as far as the back. On the otherhand, Gary E430 had the entire Eibach lowering kit (springs and Eibach/sachs shocks) installed and his ride looks just right.
I have confirmed that the springs I'm using are the correct ones for my engine weight so it is not a case of the wrong springs being used.
Anyway, I understand the design of Eibach shocks are different to say Bilsteins in that they are inverted i.e. the "female" part (i.e. the stationary half) is on the bottom instead of the top on conventional shocks. Apparently this has the effect of creating a softer ride on the earlier parts, hence a smoother ride at low speeds and gets firmer as the movement becomes more abrupt - that would good....can't be sure tho', may just be another sales pitch.....
One guy who only stocks Bilsteins said it would drop more than the OEM but didn't sound real sure - the guy had the nerve to tell me Eibach dont make shocks and never heard of Sachs! Damn ricer tuner! However, he did offer to let me install it first and promised I don't need to take them if I didn't like it........now that sounded too good to be tru......

Unless you have smaller springs, or same size springs rated for less weight (they compact more), nothing will change except ride quality due to different shocks. The dude's feeding you a line of crap.
