Temperature Reader is out of whack!

Temperature Reader is out of whack!
People..
my temp reader on the dash cluster is slightly out of whack now.Just wondering if anyone have had a similar experience.
It'll start the day about 27.8 Degrees Celcius. Malaysia's pretty humid, so the highest its gone up to was about 38-39 degrees. Right now, especially when I'm idling in the jam, it'll suddenly go up to about 60 degrees, and raises rapidly like a ticking clock, and blanks out completely. Once I start moving a bit faster, It'll pop up again (about 58 degrees) and come down to about 40 degrees. Sometimes, it'll even pop out when it's forty and not come back till I shut off the car.
Although I'm sending the car in for service today, just wondering if anyone have gone through this prob before. Will let everyone know the outcome.

that's what someone mentioned to me the other day. is that applicable to the W210? prob probably started after i changed to the carlsson front kit. I think its been fixed some what, but still blicks off when i'm idle..must be the real bloody weather. :P
