Emissions parts/warranty related questions on a 97 E320
I live in NC, and am trying to figure if the emissions warranty on my car is still in effect. If so, what does it cover other than the catalytic converters?
(specifically, what could cause it to fail emissions, feel sluggish, have a CE light on, and be in the 600 dollar range for a part/labor replacement)?

I Would take the car to a Local autoparts store and have them read the code.. Most chain stores will do this for you!
Sounds like a Mass air sensor..lack of power and stored code
If it is the mass air sensor you can change it in 10min
Do a search on this..also check fastlane at mercedesshop.com great prices on that..
