Parktronic problem

Hi! How are you folks?

I have a strange error (at least for me), when I start the car the pts system gives the two red lights error, so I thought that a sensor was broken.
I connected to carsoft and I tell me that it can't communicate with the pts module.
So the question is: Is my parktronic ecu broken? Or just the carsoft that can't communicate?

Thanks in advance.

PD: 1999 e240 and carsoft 7.4

You are correct Carsoft can't communicate with the module!! You need MB Star/DAS Xentry

Is this the complete story, as you surely must have hooked up before and ran a "Quick test" and at that time you would have seen the i in PTS box indicating no communication.

When you double clicked the i in the PTS box what did it say and were there any other i on the quick test.

PS: you did check fuse 15 in the fuse and relay box

Yes I hooked up and run a quick test, PTS,Airmatic and DMC (fl,fr,rl,rr) ECUs didn`t respond (dont have airmatic and DMC 1,2,3,4 did respond).

Tried to do a live data but again, PTS module is not build in or does not respond.

I did check all the fuses and they were ok.

PS: ME,ABS,AIRBAG,BAS,Cluster,EGS,AIRCO,PSE,SAM,OCP,LC P,D2B and EIS respond ok, the only module that is build in and doesn`t communicate is PTS.

After the quick test and you got an i for the PTS did you double click on the i and get any more information-----like issues with the module or issues with sensors or anything--just a yes or no

Because if you got nothing then I would go out on a limb and say you have a faulty module and would not take the car to the dealer----but do yourself a favor don't by junk yard seconds and get a new unit---then the issue is will Carsoft do adaptions because the module has to be mated to the car using HHT/DAS.

I got nothing, so I believe that I have a faulty module.
So I canīt just swap the ECU?

Thanks for everything!

You need a new PTS module and then you have to make sure carsoft is capable of adapting the module to your car
