Check Engine Light check Engine Electronics
I have a 1997 E320 with 116,000 miles. The check engine light came on with check engine electronics. The engine has a rough idle. The owners manual said it is the fuel injection. Is there any thing I can do to replace the bad parts

Well first you have to determine which parts are faulty---you do that by haveing someone read the fault codes---then post the fault codes and you will get help!!
Yes the process.typically cost money!!

Now you know what to do and or start--plug,wire,coil--if you are the owner with loads of time---start moving things around(one at a time) to see if the fault follows---if it does you know what is faulty!!

I checked my maintenance records and noticed that my spark plugs were changed Jan 2007.I had the plugs and coils changed and the car runs great. I don't drive the car 5,000 miles a year.

We do have diesel section here for diesel.
I am not aware diesels have knock sensors, but technology surprised me more than once.
