Opinions on to lower or not to lower e320 w/ stock wheels

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum. I wanted to get your opinions on weather I should lower my 99 e320 which has the stock oem wheels and tires off a 2000 e320. My question is would my car look better with lowering it 1.6" with Vogtland springs and Koni yellow sports or 2" with H&R Sport Cup Kit or just keep it stock?

My goal is to lose the gap between tires and wheel wells while retaining a comfortable and smooth ride as well as having it look not silly even with the stock 16" wheels. Your opinions will help me decide to weather to move forward or not.

Here is what the car looks right now.

When I lowered my E430 I drove it on the stock wheels for a couple weeks before installing my 19's. I thought it looked better then the stock ride height.

Do you think my ride will look better with the 1.5" or 2.0" drop since my wheels are smaller

If you are using the 16" wheels keep the car at stock height. When lowered on these wheels the car looks seriously under-tired and kind of silly. JMHO.

I got my e430 on 17 inch S class rims w220 and it looks very good in front but the back needs to lower it and 15-20mm spacers in back, i would go for it lower the car. Put it on 17 inch tires then get Eibach or H&R springs

There is a lot going on when you lower a car, maybe leave the stock wheels for now and focus on learning all you can about the lowering process, I don't think the picture above looked bad at all with the stock wheels on it.

Where do you live? The scenery looks like Southern California...and good luck with the drop.

I am looking for an H&R Sport Cup Kit from one of the last stocks available. It's been difficult but H&R says one of their distributors should have one just have to keep going down the list til one responds back. I am told that although it's a 2" drop that it will be stiff but not bone jarring because we have nice roads here in Vegas and I will be even lower since I have 16 on.
